Loughborough University to charge annual tuition fees of £9,000
Loughborough University is proposing annual tuition fees of £9,000 for students starting degrees in 2012.
The university announced its plans today, making it the 20th university across the country to declare it will charge the top rate.
Current fees are £3,290, but from 2012 universities can set them higher.
Education bosses say they will also be offering a range of financial support for students from less well-off backgrounds, including cash towards fees and accommodation costs.
