A14 at Catthorpe Interchange blocked in both directions after tanker crash
The A14 is blocked in both directions at the Catthorpe interchange after a collision between a tanker and two cars at around 8.30am.
The tanker is leaking Argon gas and carbon dioxide which are both present naturally in the earth's atmosphere.
Leicestershire police, who say there are no reports of injuries, are advising motorists via Twitter to use an alternative route.
A fire engine from Lutterworth is at the scene with two others standing in readiness at junction 19 of the M1.
