“As smoothuk1 points out, the slip lanes are too short. It's a similar problem when approaching the Wanlip feeder when travelling east. There's already been one fatal accident there.

There's also many motorists who literally force their way onto the main carriageway, rather than adjust speed to filter in.”

“If people understood the correct way to join a fast moving carriageway from a slip road, there wouldn't be such a problem.

Many drivers fail to accelerate on the approach to match the speed of the traffic and filter in....this is a fundamental lack of driving skill and ability.

Many times at the slip from red hill circle onto red hill way, I have had cars braking hard in front of me when they should really be accelerating to filter into the traffic.......this is what causes most of these types of accidents. Drivers taking inappropriate action through lack of skill, competence and judgement to drive on the roads.”

“The same problem that affects the ring road at Red Hill Circle. I have had a number of near misses with traffic coming up the slip road and straight into the main road, hoping someone will brake sharply for them.”

“The slip road that joins the A46 East bound should be closed off as the cars come round the corner so quick and there's not much slip road to join the main carriageway and most of the vehicles don't stop so vehicles have to swerve to miss them, how many accidents have there been along that short stretch of road in just the last 6 months now”
