Action men look to make their mark
FANS of geriatric action movies should check out the sequel to the Expendables with Slyvester Stallone again battling the baddies and arthritis. Jean-Claude van Damme, Chuck Norris and Bruce Willis join the veteran cast acting their shoe sizes rather than their ages.
Ice T has starred in a fair few action flicks himself but returns to his roots as a rap artist to direct a music documentary. Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap traces the genre from its street poetry beginnings (Phoenix August 24-27).
Meanwhile, in September, Ray Winstone takes over from the late John Thaw as tough copper Jack Regan in a new look for The Sweeney.
