“Just to give you clear details of this story, I called the RSPCA because my 7 year old daughter and I noticed the pigeon in distress, caught by its foot upside-down under the eaves of a roof on a 3 storey property. First a normal fire engine turned up and the fire crew realised due to the location of the bird it would be better and safer to use the telescopic unit, this was by coincidence around the corner having just finished a call, I spoke to the firemen and apologised if I had caused a lot of work for them, the boss fireman told me I did the right thing it was a good training exercise due to the location of the bird and the fact the street suffers badly from inconsiderate parking.
SO I Feel Happy, The Bird Feels Happy, Happy Days.”

“So you would rather a Firefighter risk falling from a roof than use the equipment they have.
I am sure those involved treated it as a training exercise. They are getting paid the same sitting waiting for calls as saving birds so stop moaning about them actually using the equipment they have.”
