Andy King says Leicester City must hit top form
Leicester City will have to hit top form to beat resurgent Blackpool tonight, says midfielder Andy King.
The Tangerines come to the King Power Stadium bidding to extend their four-game unbeaten run and cement their place in the play-off places.
Ian Holloway's men are just one point ahead of City in sixth place.
City could leapfrog them into the top six with a victory tonight, and King said: "They are going to be a good side to face.
"Our new manager won't get carried away and we will go into the game full of confidence.
"They had a good season in the Premier League and I think they were unlucky to come down.
"They definitely have plenty of quality in their team. We are going to have to be on top of our game to beat them."
Holloway was City manager when the club were relegated into League One four seasons ago, but King said he should not take all the blame.
"You can't really say it was all his fault," he said. "It was probably out of his hands at the time and it is ultimately down to the players on the pitch, and it just didn't happen.
"It all seems a long time ago and it is still there in the memory."
King made his City debut under Gary Megson but was generally overlooked by Holloway.
"It was a bit frustrating as I was a little bit in and out of the team then," said the Wales international.
"I played a little bit and was only young, so it was a tough time.
"I got my first start under Megson but played a few games for Ollie.
"He was good to have around the place and he tried his best and tried to keep the team in the division, but unfortunately it didn't work out for him.
"Fair play to him, he has shown what a good manager he is by going to Blackpool and doing a good job there."
