Angling: Hall toughs it out in final to net £5,000 first prize
John Hall had a grand celebration five times over when he won the Fish4£5,000 match at Watermeadows Fishery.
During the past six months, anglers from all parts of the country have been trying to qualify for a place in the final 30 and a shot at the £5,000 first prize.
Hall, of Allseasons Angling and Marukyu, took 113lb 00oz from a tough section to tie with five others for the lead.
Then, 24 hours later, he caught 142-00 of carp and barbel to record a perfect two-point score and win the £5,000 prize.

Second place went to another Leicester and Marukyu man, Gary Saddler, who finished on three points to pick up £620.
Soaring temperatures produced some red-hot catches in the second Sensas Challenge match on Sunday.
Teams fished on the River Soar and the Grand Union Canal, Loughborough, and more than 100lb was taken at each venue.
In-form Mark Russell (Leicester Sensas) found some quality skimmers for a total of 20-02 on the river.
Rob Wootton (Wigston) had a mixed bag of roach and perch for 13-04, closely followed by Ant King (Trentmen) with 10-14. Roger Marlow (Leicester Sensas), a member of the England veterans team who won the world championship, managed 7-15.
Pete Scott (Leicester Sensas) starred on the canal and took 12-06 for victory. Second place went to Brad Titmus, who was guesting for Leicester Sensas, as he ended the day with 8-14.
Third was another Leicester Sensas angler, Mark Eustace, who caught 8-05, with Steve Hurst, of Wigston, fourth with 7-15.
Top team was the Leicester Sensas C line-up of Joff Woodgett, Scott, Titmus, Eustace, Marlow and Darren Bickerton.

The final match of the three Sensas Challenge trials is a week on Sunday.
The Wednesday Kobra Open at Dynamite Makins was won by John Adamson (Kobra Feeders & Levas), who landed 13 carp for a total of 111-12. Ben Lockwood (Sensas A4) took for 92-08 for second.
Local expert Daz Walters triumphed in the Thursday Kobra open at the same venue, 07-02 his winning weight.
It was close for second but Adamson just managed to claim the spot with 93-08, from Kev Walters (Dynamite Makins), 93-04.
Dominic Lanni won the Ratby AC matched at Decoy Lakes on Saturday. He caught 123-02 to finish ahead of Mick Moore, 100-05, and Billy Hill, 91.14.
