Richard Kinnersley is the last angler to book a place in the final of Lakeview Fishery's £3,000-to-the-winner series.

The Team Scotty competitor finished runner-up in the last qualifier at the Holwell venue.

Winner Martin Thackery had already won a qualifier, so Kinnersley went through.

He caught 85lb 12oz from peg 24 on the marina pool while Thackery took 96-4 from peg one.

Paul Yates was third on 63-0 ahead of Mick Potter, 62-8, Steve Gardner, 58-0, and Alistair Ogilvie, 56-4.

Ben Holmes was a clear winner of the penultimate qualifier with a catch of 152-8 from peg 10 on the serpent pool.

Kev Kania was runner-up on 89-0 ahead of Bob Greenbury, 86-0, Mick Foster, 80-12, Pete Tatly, 77-0, and Gerry Woodcock, 75-8. The final will be on Sunday, August 15.

Simon Skelton won an open with a catch of 60-8 on bread from peg 21 on harbour pool, beating Steve Bentley, 55-1, and Luke Bamford, 41-9.

Rob Taylor's 71-4 from peg one landed a midweek veterans contest on marina pool from Martin Quilter, 65-8, and Cliff Adcock, 65-0.

The Saturday veterans contest went to Pete Sisson, 50-12, from Chris Shore, 49-0, and Roger Holmes, 45-8.

Lakeview are running a series of pairs matches on Wednesdays for eight weeks.

Quorn Van Den Eynde's Rich Reynolds's good run of form continued with victory in an Evesham Festival Shakespeare qualifier.

He took 13-0 of roach from peg 35 on the Isbourne confluence of the Avon.

It was his third double-figure roach catch from this stretch in as many weeks.

Fishing 14 metres and a long line, he caught fish up to 8oz through a lightly-shotted rig.

Paul Cooper edged to victory in Oadby RBL's match at Holme Farm.

He caught 91-9 to pip Mark Hudson, 91-0, with Steve Jones third on 66-12 ahead of Karl Gillett, 62-0.

It was also close in Ratby AC's match at Toft Fishery, near Rugby.

Keith Hudson fished luncheon meat in conjunction with a method feeder to catch 80-11.

Paul Taylor was runner-up on 80-1 and Brian Envis third on 77-15.

Jim Osborne was clear of his rivals in Glebe AC's contest on the buffalo loop at Kilworth Sticks.

He caught 32-13 to beat Jeff Green, 13-14, and Mark Collier, 7-10.

Adam Rumsey caught 77-0 on the pole with sweetcorn to set the pace in Fleckney AC's contest on Leire Lake. Andy Morgan was runner-up on 65-4 and Mark Mason third on 52-4.

Martin Chan took Saturday's open at Mill on the Soar on 51-13 from Mark Ghent, 44-15, and Tom Watt 28-13.

The midweek contest went to Glyn Barnes 47-14, from Tom Watt, 41-07, Vince Towers 38-13, and Dave Cleaver, 37-01.

Chris Wade won a match at Tom Thumb, Blaby, on 48-14 from Mick Grucock, 29-11, and Andy Jefferies, 29-02.

Shane Sayers's 149-0 won a midweek open at Dynamite Baits Makins Fishery at Wolvey.

Eddie Keene took the following day's contest on 107-12.
