A woman got her arm stuck in a tumble dryer and had to be helped free by firefighters.

A crew from Syston station was called to the trapped woman at a house in Walker Road, Thurmaston, at noon on Thursday.

A spokesman said: "We had someone ring in to say someone had got her hand stuck in a tumble dryer.

"I think it was to do with the filter. They were trying to sort this out and managed to get their arm stuck.
