Arrest after death of man in Clarendon Park, Leicester
Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man in Clarendon Park, Leicester.
Officers and paramedics were called to Avenue Road Extension, at 8.10pm yesterday (Sunday) after a report expressing concern for his “welfare”.
The man was taken from the house to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.

A Leicestershire Police spokeswoman said the investigation was in its early stages.
She said: “Police were called after receiving a report raising concerns for the welfare of a man at a house in Avenue Road Extension, Leicester.
“Inquiries are in their very early stages and officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.”
