“If attackers before attack mention to the victim about their colour, religion, or even calling them Indian, ****, black, white or any other way then yes it is racially motivated. At the end of the day what ever reason was for the attack, only attackers can explain that. Wait until Police get them.”

“''The assault is being treated as a racially motivated incident'' - Although a terrible ordeal for anyone to suffer, I have to kind of agree with Eddie51 on this. Would it have been labelled the same if the boot was on the other foot so to speak? I find Police descriptions interesting too. Most times when describing individuals who may have committed a crime, it seems as though using the word 'black' to describe skin colour is almost taboo, but 'white' is perfectly fine. Just describe the people who are involved and get on with it! Why is this seen as a problem one wanders?”

“If this had been two black or Asian men insulting and pushing a white woman would this also have been classed as a racially motivated attack.
I'm pleased the woman was not badly hurt and wish her a speedy recovery as whatever the way round the colour was it is a dispicable thing to do by anyone.”
