Attacked after words with cyclist
A 79-year-old suffered facial injuries when he was subjected to a "despicable" attack.
The victim told police he was assaulted after he asked a woman who was cycling on the pavement in Gallowtree Gate, Leicester, to "be careful".
A short time after speaking to the woman, the victim was approached in Humberstone Gate by a man who had been walking alongside the cyclist.
The man confronted the victim and assaulted him.

The victim suffered minor facial injuries.
The incident happened at 10.45am on Wednesday, August 29. Police issued an appeal for witnesses yesterday.
The suspect is white, aged 28 to 32 and was clean shaven.
Pc Ivor Messiah said: "The incident took place in daylight at a busy time of the day and I'm sure passers-by witnessed what happened.

"This was a despicable crime against an elderly man and we need to catch those responsible."
