Bad weather puts a stop to car park resurfacing
Bad weather has delayed the completion of refurbishment work at the Beehive Lane Car Park, in Loughborough.
Charnwood Borough Council is currently resurfacing the top floor of the six-storey car park as part of a £150,000 maintenance programme.
The first four floors are still open for customers but work on floors five and six, which began on September 17 and was due to finish on November 2, in time for Loughborough Fair, has been delayed because of the wet and cold weather.
The weather has hampered progress because the car park surface must be dry before and after a sealant is applied, otherwise it won't adhere properly.
