Band to release first album on new label

The four-piece, from the city's West End area, have signed a management contract and a one-album, three-single deal with indie label Telescope Records.

Debut album We'd All Better Learn How To Swim, which was recorded in Los Angeles, will be released at the end of November.
First single Diem – a firm favourite with their loyal Leicestershire fanbase – will be released on Monday, July 5.
The band – Tom Lewitt, Tom Nurse, James Dunn and Owen Ross – created the album with the help of legendary producer Mark Needham, who has worked with big-name acts such as The Killers, We Are Scientists and Bloc Party.
Taking a break from a video shoot in London on Tuesday, lead singer Tom Nurse said: "It's so good because it gives us a proper chance to release singles and it's nice that there's a platform now for us to do what we love to do.
"It's been a bit of a trek getting here, lots of highs and lows.
"We're not counting our chickens yet – this is just the beginning, the start of months and months of hard work.
"We know there's still a long way to go."
The band will tour Europe in September and are due to fly back to LA to start work on their second album, again with Mark Needham, in the summer.
Kasabian's Tom Meighan has also given them his backing, saying: "The Screening are like the Lost Boys but from Leicester – vampire music."
Telescope Records is an indie label that specialises in developing bands and artists and putting them on the road to having a continued career in the music industry.
A Telescope spokesman said they were delighted to sign the band and described Diem as "immense".
He said: "These guys are mega and I'm sure you'll be blown away by their sound.
"After months of negotiation the band have decided to join us at Telescope.
"Diem is the perfect introduction for those yet to experience the band's fresh and unique take on modern day rock 'n' roll."
