Basketball: Leicester Riders clinch signing of US star Ryan Zamroz
Jelson Homes DMU Leicester Riders have snapped up free-scoring guard Ryan Zamroz.
The 23-year-old will likely be seen as a replacement for Bradd Weirzbicki, who the Mercury understands has signed a contract for Leyma Basquet Coruna in Spain.

Ryan Zamroz
Zamroz has just finished a stunning season in Australia where he led the Geraldton Buccaneers to the SBL play-off semi-finals.
"Ryan is a multi-skilled guard who has the ability to make plays from all over the floor," said Riders coach Rob Paternostro.
"He has good size and strength and is someone that caught my eye the first time I watched him play.
"He had a fantastic college career and put up huge numbers in his first season of professional basketball."
Zamroz averaged a staggering 29 points per game in Australia, mainly thanks to his superb three-point shooting percentage.
The American netted almost half his long-range efforts during the season and also added over four assists and four rebounds per game.
Before that he was the star performer at Master's College in America, where he was named the team's player of the year three years in a row and finished as the seventh-highest scorer in their history.
"I'm looking forward to working with Ryan as I believe he is a young player with a very bright future who is looking to excel at the professional level," said Paternostro.
"He is a great long-range shooter who isn't just a shooter, he finds many ways to put the ball in the basket and has shown an ability to adjust and read whatever the defence gives him."
It has been a summer of change for Riders, with Zamroz the latest new face to be added to the line-up.
Riders' success on the court has hampered Paternostro's attempt to keep a consistent roster, with richer European sides able to come in and snap up his stars.
As well as Weirzbicki, Riders also lost forward Jason Johnson, who moved to Finland.
Paternostro is putting the finishing touches to his squad, with the final pieces expected to be in place next week.
