Basketball: Leicester Warriors beat Leeds Carnegie
Leicester Warriors continued their run of good form by beating EBL Division One second-placed side Leeds Carnegie 88-75 at Braunstone Leisure Centre.
Emile Hopkins opened the scoring for Warriors with a three-pointer and Hilroy Thomas soon netted from the line on the way to scoring 16 points.
Midway through the first quarter Tyler Kathan, who was to tally 28 points, put Warriors ahead with a three-pointer.
Leeds hit back and led 35-31 at the interval.
But midway through the third quarter a 16-6 sequence, including nine points from Kathan, helped to turn the game in Warriors' favour.
Warriors moved into a 68-58 lead at the end of the third quarter and making 11 from 18 free-throws as the clock ran down, they were comfortable winners to cement third place.
