"He has a lot of talent and has a chance to be a very good professional.

"He is a versatile player who can play multiple positions, which should give us numerous options on how we can play.

"His last two seasons at UMKC were both extremely productive and, individually and team-wise, Jay was a stand-out performer.

"Jay put up very good scoring numbers at UMKC, he can score in many ways, but he can also can rebound well and is very disruptive on the defensive end.

"He is an athletic player who we are all excited to be able to watch play, and be a part of his basketball development."

Riders play pre-season home games against a touring USA team on Friday and Saturday (both at 7pm).

They open their BBL Championship on the road at Sheffield Sharks on Friday, September 21 (7.30pm).
