Leicester Riders look to continue their impressive away form with a trip to bottom-of-the-table Durham Wildcats tomorrow (4pm).

Riders have lost just once on their travels in eight league games this season, a record that includes a 13-point win at Durham last month.

But coach Rob Paternostro reckons the Wildcats are improving with every game in their first season in the BBL and expects them to be confident after a victory last time out.

"They've been a better team over the last month or so, we saw that when we played them in early January," he said.

"I'm sure they feel really good about the victory they had over Cheshire and they'll be excited to play us because last time it was a close game for a long stretch.

"Plus the Sky Sports cameras will be there so they will want to perform well at home.

"You have to give the team and coach Dave Elderkin a lot of credit because they have been competitive in their first season, which is not easy, and they are improving as it goes on."

After back-to-back home defeats, Jelson Homes DMU-backed Riders have returned to winning ways with two victories in a row.

But Paternostro has admitted his team's offence is still not firing on all cylinders at the moment, despite Ayron Hardy and Cameron Rundles both hitting 20 points against Sheffield last Saturday.

Riders' resolute defence has been enough to grind out the wins but Paternostro is hoping the free-scoring nature of his side earlier this season will return.

He said: "We need to trust ourselves and have confidence in the openings we are getting.

"We've got good shots, but we just haven't knocked them down. Right now, we feel comfortable offensively, it's just a matter of making the shots.

"I thought last weekend our ball movement was really good against Sheffield and, if it continues to be that good, we shouldn't have a problem."

Riders' defence will be challenged by a Wildcats side who like to slow down the game and wait for opportunities.

Wildcats: M Elderkin, Pearce, Chambers, P Elderkin, Jones, Davies, Glavan, Chalkidis, Capocci, Attah, O'Mahoney, Bucci, Flaherty.

Riders: Hardy, Lamble, Wierzbicki, Rundles, Anderson, Sherlock, Williams, Daley, Sullivan, Royster, Haggith, Washington.

Loughborough Students Riders suffered defeat in the final of the women's National Trophy against Manchester Mystics.

Some costly missed free throws proved their downfall as they lost 66-60.
