A woman who dishonestly obtained £23,000 in income support, housing and council tax benefits has been given a suspended jail sentence.
Amber Ramahi (50), of Charles Street, Leicester, admitted two counts of benefit fraud by failing to notify the authorities she had more than £30,000 from a divorce settlement. She was given a 20-week jail sentence, suspended for two years, and ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work.
