North Kilworth: Kilworth House Hotel, near North Kilworth, will host its annual charity walk, on Wednesday, May 20.

Each year the hotel staff and guests support a local charity with a number of fund-raising events throughout the year and in the spring invite friends to join them for a walk around the picturesque wooded grounds of the Kilworth Estate, which surrounds the hotel complex.

This year the Heart of England Air Ambulance Service, based at nearby Brandon Airfield near Coventry has been chosen to benefit.

Walkers are asked to meet at the hotel entrance at 10am and the walk starts at 10.30am. There is a choice of either a 5km circuit of the estate or the more energetic can do a longer 10km walk.

Although the pathways are well defined and hard surfaced they do take the visitor through thick woodland and may in some parts need to be walked with care, so suitable footwear should be worn.

Everyone is welcome to join staff and guests on the walk, and well-behaved dogs are welcomed but must be on leads at all times as there are deer and nesting birds in the woodland.

Refreshments will be served in the Staging Post Log Cabin in the woods on return.

Donations towards the air ambulance fund are requested.
