Boris boost for park
Families in Kibworth are being invited to the opening of a new play area in the village tomorrow.
At noon, Leicester Tigers player Boris Stankovich will be joining housebuilders Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes to officially cut the ribbon to mark the development open.
Children living in the surrounding village are being invited to come along to try out the equipment for the first time – and tuck into free jacket potatoes in the developer's sales office.
Jan Ruston, sales director at Barratt Homes East Midlands, said: "We're delighted to be opening the new play area in Kibworth this Sunday, for the enjoyment of not only the residents living within our new homes, but the surrounding village of Kibworth, too.
"It's a fantastic facility which we hope will be enjoyed not only during the official opening, but for many more years to come."
Philip Lacey, sales director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: "We're working with Barratt to develop an exciting new community that will not only provide quality new housing, but also enhance and build on the existing facilities in the village of Kibworth.
"We're thrilled Boris Stankovich has agreed to act as the VIP for the day and we hope lots of families come along to join in the celebrations, too."
The new play area is near the Barratt part of the development just south of Wistow Road.
