Boxing: Nigel Benn returns to the ring in city show
Ring hero Nigel Benn is coming to Leicester for a Christmas bash.
Promoter Scott Lansdowne has confirmed 'The Dark Destroyer' will be back in the ring at Liquid Envy nightclub on Saturday, December 15.

He will box an exhibition bout against Barinder Singh, Leicester's former world-class kick boxer, and answer questions from fans on a European Boxing Federation-sanctioned show.
Benn won the WBO middleweight and WBC super-middleweight titles, and will be forever remembered for his savage scraps with Gerald McClellan, Chris Eubank, Iran Barkley and more.

Lansdowne said: "I was always a massive fan – and can't believe Nigel is coming to Leicester. He was the most brilliant fighting machine you could wish for and, in my opinion, is the best fighter Britain has ever produced.
"I'm told he is emigrating to Australia in the new year, so he won't be back in Britain often."
Lansdowne has also confirmed that Lester Walsh will box for the EBF British welterweight title on the show, and Loughborough heavyweight Lenny Buttling will make the first defence of his Midlands Area Novice championship.
