Bright idea to promote safety
Police were giving out free high visibility rucksacks to cyclists at an event to promote road safety yesterday.
Officers were giving out advice at Leicester train station yesterday morning as part of the "Be Bright, Be Safe" campaign.
The rucksacks were given to the first 25 cyclists who showed up.

Jonathan Clarkson, who was working with the team at the station, said: "The turn-out was good initially, mainly during rush hour, because we started at 8am.
"This was our second 'Cycle Hub' and we are considering holding more in the future."
The Be Bright, Be Safe campaign aims to encourage cyclists to keep illuminated at night by using hi-vis gear and lighting so that motorists can see them on the roads.
