Brighton and Hove Albion 1 Leicester City 0
Jermaine Beckford and Neil Danns were both sent off as Leicester City were sunk by a last minute goal at the The Amex Stadium.
Beckford, who had previously scored six goals in his last four games, was shown a straight red card in the second half for foul and abusive language after a clash with Brighton defender Lewis Dunk, and Danns picked up his second booking in added time as City chased an equaliser and were caught on the break.

City actually finished the game with only eight men as substitute Nathan Delfouneso had limped off injured as Will Buckley scored a dramatic winner just before Danns' dismissal.
The Seagulls also finished the game with ten men when Matt Sparrow was sent off for a tackle on City substitute Ben Marshall late on.
Chances were at a premium but City had a claim for a penalty late on when Wes Morgan appeared to be bundled over attempting to reach a Danny Drinkwater free kick.

“absolutely PATHETIC. Leicester managers always have excuses, and in the meantime hard working Fox fans pay out their wages for rip-off priced tickets merely to pay ridiculous salaries to people who cannot play.”

“Well,,,, I'm gobsmacked!
I was there and no way did Beckford kick out at the player from where I was watching. He made the foul challenge and a yellow maybe but after he did the foul he went back to the player on the ground and leaned over him and "appeared" to say something to the player. The lino then agitated his flag and After consulting with the ref, the ref sent Beckford off. It could only have been for something Beckford said, NOT the foul and certainly not a kick??
Weird................
Anyway, WE WERE PANTS AGAIN NIGEL!!!!!!!”

“I agree with you pforpositive. Leicester are clueless. Mills just isn't up to it. He has no composure, is unable to jump...... to make him Captain is a mistake. He's too quiet on the pitch. Wellens, Dyer and Gallagher all need to move on. They are capable players but none will figure in a Championship winning team. The full backs are inconsistent.Peltier's defensive positioning is woeful. he's work in progress and in a couple of years he might be a great full back. We need to carry on rebuilding..a left winger, a centre back ,two new midfield players and a centre forward a cover for Beckford/Nugent and we could be promotion contenders next year.
I've been saying since October that Leicester are a long way off the standard required for promotion and I have had lots of criticism for saying so. The league table doesn't lie and come April we'll be a long way off. Let's go up in style next year or the year after by winning the title in style.”

I agree partly in what you have to say. We are done for now as far as the playoffs are concerned. So now what Nigel should be doing is dropping all his old players and playing the new ones, win loose or draw it must pay dividends as Nigel could swap things around as he thinks fit.
At the moment it seems if we don't score first we tend to get beat. Forget about the premier league we can't even beat Brighton and Hove who!! Lets get a well structured team together and make our bid when we have a team that can win this division, and have the depth to stay up if when we do.
Also we can't keep blaming the officials I know they are making a lot of bad decisions. But we have to have a long look at ourselves as Championship club going further down the table week by week.
I don't think the owners will wear to much more of this bullsh!t before maybe cutting there losses and moving LCFC on. Really who could blame them, as we are are a terrible business proposition.?
SO COME ON NIGEL GET THINGS SORTED OUT.”

“DEECEE2..
The laws of the game state: A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the following seven offences....
* serious foul play.
* violent conduct.
* spitting at an opponent or any other person.
* denying the opposing team a goal or obvious goalscoring opportunity by deliberately handling the ball (this does not include the goalkeeper in his own area)
* denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity to an opponent moving towards the players goal punishable by a free kick or a penalty kick.
* using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures.
* receiving a second caution in the same match.
You will note that the word foul is not even in the laws of the game and has not been for many seasons.
The fact is that players are NOT allowed to use offensive, insulting or abusive language to ANYONE! That's why Howard was sent for what he said to the assistant at Palace and Beckford to a player at Brighton! Using foul language is ok but it's the conrext in which it is delivered that is key and so Beckford had to go!
Also Dann's was already on a yellow and was lucky to get a second yellow and not a straight red which has saved him a couple of matches.
My view on my visit to The Amex is that the Stadium is not a s good as they keep telling us but the padded seats were a god send in that weather, the pies were hit and miss. The Hot Dogs were cold and the concourse much narrower than it should be, Oh and the match? Just another rubbish standard turgid affair with Brighton out foxing us by playing an away game plan. Letting US have the ball in our half and hitting us on the break and they could have been in front at half time with only a Nugent header of any note for us.. Took me back to Sven's team when we put 20 odd passes together and got nowhere!
Second half we faired a bit better and the 10 did great and although they got the goal (Yet another over Peltier!) (There were 2 in the first half similar which were close) we actuaqlly could have scored 2 with 8 men when Mills reminded me of Walshie/Elliott up front!
So we still await those 4-5 wins on the bounce when we can't even manage 2?
Not looking too good now i'm afraid so it's win the F.A. Cup this year and win the league next...
You have to dream!!!!!!!!!!”

“I'm really trying not to be negative when the lads play ****.....there are definately signs of improvement, the Forest and Southampton games have shown that, but we just need that bit of consistency that at the moment keeps eluding us (why, I've no idea).
Maybe NP needs to rest 2 or 3 of the regulars and give the new lads a starting spot...worth a try?
So I'm not quite ready to write us off just yet and I'll remain optimistic until it's mathematically impossible not to be.
Blue Army forever..!”

“Leicester are clueless, as i said in the transfer window, get rid of Gallagher, Wellens, Abe (gone) Howard, Waghorn, get some fresh blood into the team, players like Billy Sharp, Nicky Maynard, CMS alll turned us down along with Owen Hargreaves etc, all for the right reasons it appears, we are not the big club we thought we were if we cannot attract Championship players then there must be something wrong, shoddy management, no scouting network, all points to being CLUELESS, Sven shouldn't of been sacked as he would of attracted better players then Negative Nige, few weeks ago, i pointed out on here that Frase Fyvie would be a good buy from Aberdeen, last week on SSN it states that Aberdeen turned down bids from Championship clubs for this lad and that Craig Brown will not let him go for less than £5 mil, have a look at David Templeton on youtube, his goal against Hibs (ironically he has Bamba's pants down) is a goal of the Messi standard. Please may we invest in some scouts next season as ours appear to be t**sing it off!!!”

“Chappy,
The same as Crofty here. You have just about said it all my friend. Nothing you have written can be argued with, fact is fact. But until it is completely beyond us then maybe it can happen. Although i wouldn,t want us to get promoted and do a Derby. That would be just too much to handle. Next season would be better if we could show that we have what it takes to stay there.
What would you all rather? We get up to the prem and get hammered every week, or get there next season on merit, and be in with a good shout of putting up a show?
Whatever happens, there is no doubt that we are all LCFC fans, and will support them no matter what the future holds.
BLUE ARMY! BLUE ARMY!”

“brighton could have won by a mile if we're honest . yes the ref was poor , but we lost the game not the ref , brighton had chance after chance ,and all of them nothing to do with the ref . we were as bad if not worse than the ref .”
