Musician Kristyna Miles entertained shoppers by putting on a busking performance to raise money for charity.

The 28-year-old, who is signed to Universal record label Decca, has set herself the task of raising £250,000 for homeless charity Centrepoint.

Busking in different cities during the day as she tours the country and plays gigs at night, Kristyna, who grew up in Broughton Astley, is hoping to also raise awareness of the charity and its work.

The singer said it was nice to return to her home city following a show at The Musician last week. "I'm not sure how much we raised in Leicester specifically as it's an ongoing thing, but it went really well," she said.

"My target is £250,000 and I've still got a long way to go. It will probably take me a few years, but I'm hoping to raise more and make more people aware of the charity.

"It was really good in Leicester. Lots of people were taking flyers and coming over to say they enjoyed it – it was nice to get that feedback. My mum and my friend came down as well, so that was nice."
