One of the suspects is a white man, about 35 to 45 years old, 5ft 9in, of medium build and wearing glasses. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, dark coat with fur lined hood, dark trousers and black and white trainers.

The second suspect is also white and about 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a black baseball cap, maroon hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

Pcso Steve Houghton said: “Both bikes are premium mountain bikes and worth thousands of pounds, if anyone has been approached by someone selling them or knows someone who has recently acquired similar bikes they should contact the police.

“We would also urge the public to have a look at the images and contact us if they recognise anything about the man or believe they may know who he is. Any calls received will be treated in confidence.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Pcso Houghton on 101.
