COMEDY FESTIVAL REVIEW: Ceri Dupree at Curve, Leicester, February 8
The faaa-bu-lousss (said in true Craig Revel Horwood style) Ceri Dupree is back on the road in 2013 with his one man 12 woman show.
The star of Hot Stuff returns to Curve with an evening of hysterical comedy, amazing vocal impersonations and jaw-dropping costumes, performing his unique tribute to the world’s greatest divas of our time, including Dame Shirley Bassey, Eartha Kitt and Peggy Lee.

The evening started with a hilarious routine by Her Majesty the Queen.
Other highlights throughout the show were Edith Piaf singing Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien, and Cleo Laine doing a rendition of The Muppets’ Mahna Mahna song with two audience members.

Some modern tributes were brought to the stage with Bjork, Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse.
The first half of the show brought us such characters as Jordan, Dame Edna Everage and Camilla Parker Bowles. All were very funny.
This truly is a terrific show.
With a back-lit screen, the audience could see exactly what goes on during the quick costume changes.
Ceri brings the magic and glamour of Las Vegas to life with buckets of style and boundless energy.
To end the show, Ceri came on stage as himself and gave us a breath-taking rendition of Sinatra’s My Way.
The audience were on their feet, and it was thoroughly deserved.
