Cases dealt with at Leicester Magistrates' Court include:

Anthony Webster (54), of Rowanberry Avenue, Glenfield, pleaded guilty to driving at 51mph in a 30mph zone, in Glenfield Road, Leicester. He was fined £75 and ordered to pay £60 costs. His licence was endorsed with six points.

Jabulani Sithole (41), of Scalpay Close, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, pleaded guilty to two charges of stealing wine from shops on June 18 and August 2. He was placed under a community order for 18 months, with an alcohol treatment requirement.

Pauline Forrester (45), of Six Hills Road, Walton-on-the-Wolds, pleaded guilty to using a Land Rover Discovery on January 12 without an MoT certificate. She was fined £140 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

Layla Henton (22), of Featherston Drive, Burbage, pleaded guilty to causing £1,600 damage to the front of Bargain Booze, Hinckley Road, Leicester, on December 28, and to two charges of shoplifting from different stores on May 27 and July 18.

She was placed on a 12-month supervision order with a drug rehabilitation requirement.
