Cases dealt with at Leicester Magistrates' Court include:

Joanne Cornforth (39), of Fairstone Hill, Oadby, pleaded guilty to speeding and driving without a valid licence or insurance.

She was caught driving at 47mph in Lubbesthorpe Way, Thorpe Astley, Leicester, which has a speed limit of 40mph, on April 11.

She was fined £180, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15, and banned from driving for nine months.

Ladislav Horvath (25), of Linton Street, Evington, Leicester, was found guilty in his absence of driving without insurance and a valid licence. The incident happened in Bartholomew Street, Highfields, Leicester, on September 24, 2010. He was fined £225, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85, and was banned from driving for 12 months.

Shyam Devsi Karavadra (20), of Padside Close, Hamilton, Leicester, pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising him to drive a motor vehicle of that class.

He was fined £135, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £40. He was banned from driving for two months.

Matthew Rooney (32), of Oxbow Close, Melton Mowbray, pleaded guilty to driving without a valid licence in Ullswater Road, Melton. He was fined £35, told to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £20.

Olga Marija Soikans (87), of Barry Drive, Kirby Muxloe, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention at the junction of Maytree Drive and Hinckley Road, in Kirby Muxloe, on April 27.

She was fined £66, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85.

Her licence was endorsed with four points.
