Wigston Car Breakers announced themselves to the Alliance League in emphatic fashion by beating Glenfield Town, Sunday 7-0.

There had been talk about how the reigning Leicester Sunday League champions would fare, but goals from Lee Barratt (2), Levi Porter, Shane Elliott, Dan Geary, Andy Smith and Tom Hill should go a long way to silencing any doubters.

Clint Gunn fired a hat-trick for fellow new boys Oscars, who came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Advance Couriers. A Rich Saunders brace and Danny Kitching had put Advance in control.

Sparta Moshdock carried on from where they left of last season with a 3-1 win against GT.

Enderby Town made a great start in Division One with a fine 5-1 win over Kirby Muxloe Rangers but, on Sunday, faced one of the pre-season favourites in fellow FC Azzurri.

A hat-trick from Louis Finney-Neckles and efforts from Alex Salter, Dean Edwards, Ryan Allen and Jack Hollobone helped FC Azzurri to a 7-3 win.

A man-of-the-match display by Leon Coleman helped NRI defeat Kirby Muxloe Rangers 5-2. He scored four goals.

Top of the table at this early stage are Thurmaston WMP 2009, who thumped Niffy Rangers 8-1. Ryan Whatley and Drew Walker notched doubles.

FC Pochin top Division Five after an emphatic 11-0 win over Niffy Rangers Reserves. Aran Leacock (5), Shaun Burden (3), Andy Bray (2) and Tom Smith netted.
