COUNTESTHORPE: The WWW Singers are holding a Christmas concert at the college on Wednesday, at 7.30pm.

They will be performing carols and festive favourites as well as a few seasonal readings.

Musical director is Willard Welsford, accompanied by John Fletcher.

Tickets are available on the door and cost £4.50. This includes a glass of wine or soft drink.

HUSBANDS BOSWORTH: Former farm buildings could be transformed into offices under news plans.

Languard, a weed control firm located in Church Lane, Husbands Bosworth, for more than 20 years, wants to convert the buildings at Packs Hill Farm, Station Road.

It wants to make the buildings into its administration centre.

If the company is successful in its bid and is able to move out of the village, the site in Church Lane will probably be developed for housing.

WIGSTON: Musical pupils at Guthlaxton College are presenting a Christmas concert in the main college hall today and tomorrow.

The programme includes big, concert and soul bands and dancers, strings, college and staff choirs, instrumentalists, a brass quintet and a musical trailer of Half a Sixpence.

CASTLE DONINGTON: The recreation, planning and amenities committees of Castle Donington Parish Council will meet tomorrow, starting at 7.30pm.

DESFORD: A record-breaking £969.50 was raised at the recent art and craft fair held in Desford Village Hall.

The takings will go towards maintenance of the hall – still known to many as the Miners' Institute.

CASTLE DONINGTON: Castle Donington and District Flower Club will be meeting at the Village Hall, Moira Dale, tonight, at 7.30pm, for a demonstration by Penny Vincent of A Recipe for Christmas.

KEGWORTH: A coffee morning at Kegworth Parish Church will be held on December 12, from 10am. All welcome.

OADBY: Mince pies and coffee will be served at Oadby library on Tuesday, December 15, from 10.30am.

LONG WHATTON: There will be a Christmas tree festival at the parish church from Friday to Sunday.

BELTON: There will be a Christingle service at the parish church on Sunday, December 13, at 4pm.
