Neil Swepson, (47), of Beaumont Walk, Beaumont Leys, Leicester, pleaded guilty to possessing or having custody of a fighting dog – a pit-bull terrier – on March 30.
The court made a destruction order, to be suspended on condition that the dog was: Kept under proper control by neutering, tattooing and micro-chipping;
Muzzled and on a lead held by a responsible person aged over 16 when in a public place; Covered by third-party insurance;

Anuj Patel, (21) of Scarborough Road, Belgrave, Leicester, pleaded guilty to driving otherwise than in accordance with his licence, without insurance, and while over the legal alcohol limit, in Belvoir Street, Leicester city centre, on July 15.
A measurement showed 57 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Patel was fined £100, ordered to pay costs of £150 and was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
Daniel Wright, (23) of Westleigh Road, off Narborough Road, Leicester, was found guilty in his absence of dropping a cigarette end in Narborough Road, on March 2.
Wright was fined £120 and ordered to pay costs of £75 to Leicester City Council.
Tilak Raj Summan, (48) of Loughborough Road, Belgrave, Leicester, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Station Street, Leicester city centre, on July 9, while subject to an 18-month conditional discharge order, imposed at Leicester Magistrates' Court on August 3, 2011, for being drunk and disorderly.
He was fined £75 and ordered to pay costs of £50.
Kevin Umukoro, (36) of Western Road, Westcotes, Leicester, was found guilty in his absence of failing to comply with a legal notice which prevented him from leaving his bin in Western Road after 7am on a Saturday.
He was fined £150 and ordered to pay costs of £75 to Leicester City Council.
