Cases dealt with at Leicester Magistrates' Court include:

Ian Dunkley (40), of Lower Hastings Street, Leicester city centre, has been banned from the road for three years after being caught nearly four times the drink-drive limit.

He pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit on Hinckley Road, Leicester, on October 30. He gave a reading of 134 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

He also pleaded guilty to taking a Nissan Qashqai without consent from Burdett Close, Leicester, on October 30.

Dunkley also admitted driving the car on the same date without valid insurance and while only holding a provisional licence.

As well as being banned from driving, Dunkley was given a 20 week jail sentence, suspended for a year. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs.

Suhail Issa (22), of Vancouver Road, St Matthew's, Leicester, was banned from holding a licence for six months for driving while disqualified.

He admitted the offence while driving on Humberstone Road, Leicester, on October 30. He also pleaded guilty to driving without third party insurance on the same date.

He was also made subject of a year-long community order where he must carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.

Issa must also attend 20 sessions of a thinking skills programme, and was ordered to pay £85 costs.

Ryan Page (20), of Rainsford Crescent, Stocking Farm, Leicester, was ordered to pay £250 compensation to a man he assaulted.

He pleaded guilty to common assault in Leicester on July 21.

Page also admitted committing the offence while subject to an 18-month conditional discharge imposed on March 11 last year at Leicester Magistrates' Court for obstructing a police officer.

He was ordered to carry out 240 hours of unpaid work and to pay £85 costs.

David Rosen (43), of Boulter Crescent, Wigston, was fined £400 for using threatening behaviour. He was found guilty in his absence of committing the offence in Leicester on June 15. As well as the fine, he was told to pay £85 costs.
