Kevin Meade (51), of Amadis Road, off Lutterworth Road, Leicester, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour on September 19.

He was fined £85 and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £100 costs.

Carl David Gray (28), of Bonney Road, New Parks, Leicester, pleaded guilty to attempting to burgle a shop in Silver Walk, Leicester city centre, on October 18.

He was sent to prison for 16 weeks.

The jail sentence was given for reasons including a concerted attempt to get into the premises and previous convictions for dishonesty and burglary.

Justin Putbrace (41), of Burnmoor Street, near Leicester Royal Infirmary, in the city, pleaded guilty to stealing five pairs of socks, worth £20, from a shop in Silver Street, Leicester city centre, on September 14.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 compensation and £20 costs.

Nilesh Vyas (47), of Stoughton Drive North, Leicester, pleaded guilty to driving with 156 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood on July 30.

The maximum legal limit is 80 milligrams.

He was fined £100, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from holding a driving licence for 17 months.
