Cases dealt with at Leicester Magistrates' Court include:

John Joseph Galway (59), of Drummond Road, Belgrave, Leicester, pleaded guilty to racially or religiously-aggravated fear or provocation of violence by words or writing on October 20.

He was given a community order including 40 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 costs.

Karl Douglas Winzar (39), of Warwick Way, Loughborough, pleaded guilty to harassment, in breach of a restraining order, on February 1.

He also admitted commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 18 months, imposed at Leicester Magistrates' Court for harassment. He was sentenced to 18 weeks in jail.

Jake Heery (20), of Melton Road, Thurmaston, pleaded guilty to driving a car at 51mph in King Edward Avenue, Narborough, on June 21, when the speed limit for the road was 40mph. He was fined £60, ordered to pay £30 costs and had three points put on his licence.

Leon Emanuel McKay (55), of Loughborough Road, Birstall, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Gallowtree Gate, Leicester, on December 28.

He also admitted commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months imposed at Leicester Magistrates' Court, for an offence of failing to notify authorities about a change in circumstances.

McKay was given a two-year conditional discharge.

Andrew Finnemore (40), of Clifford Street, Wigston, pleaded guilty to speeding in Welford Road, Wigston, on May 20, when the car he was driving was captured travelling at 47mph in a 30mph zone.

He was fined £60 and had five points put on his licence.
