Charlie Bruce also visited Hinckley's Battling Brook Primary School, where her aunt, Tina Bruce, is a teaching assistant.

She will be trying to inspire the youngsters with the message they can do what she has done and achieve their dreams, whether in dance, sport or any other field.

Charlie said: "I love going to schools and seeing all the kids. They have been really lovely.

"I am trying to see everyone I can to say thank you because they have put so much into it."

Today, Charlie was due to visit Charnwood School of Dance, Loughborough, which she joined as a seven-year-old.
