Holders Markfield Rangers cruised into the second round of the Wm Davis Trophy.

They enjoyed a comfortable 8-0 win against Burton FC thanks to strikes from Paul Pallett (2), Chris Brown (2), Byron Quilter, Joe Clayton, Jack Richardson and an own-goal.

Birstall Stamford A beat Hugglescote United 5-1, Colt Atkinson (3), Joe Carnan and Ryan Topply with goals.

A hat-trick from Sam Smith and one from Andy Hobson helped Long Whatton to a 4-2 win against Shepshed United.

Cropston Rangers won 3-1 at Sporting Loughborough, while Hathern Three Crowns beat Sporting Charnwood.

In the S&L Trophies Cup, The Griffin FC's match against Cropston Rangers reserves was abandoned during extra-time after Cropston's Gareth Owen suffered a broken leg.

Leics Constabulary beat Twelve FC 3-2 with Rob Green, Joe Parker and Lee Glover on target for the police.

Ashby Rovers reserves won 5-3 at Ashby Ivanhoe thanks to a brace each from Joe Elliot and Richie Hargreaves and one from Jonathan Tye.

Coalville Athletic won 5-3 at The Plough, while FC Charnwood beat Markfield Rangers reserves 5-0. AFC The Via reserves won 1-0 against Birstall Trees.

In the first round of the Sunday FA Cup, Whitwick Compass beat Charnwood side Sileby Athletics 4-1, Carl Benson with all four.

Wymeswold beat Pattersons 3-2 thanks to Rob Pitman, Ryan Page and Adam Beasly.
