Technicians were called in to repair a broken boiler at the city councils's offices.

A worker who wished to remain anonymous said staff were wearing coats indoors on Wednesday, after one of the two boilers in block A, in New Walk, Leicester, broke.

A city council spokesman said : "A problem with the heating in A Block, at New Walk Centre, was reported to us on Monday. One boiler remained running to keep the building at a reasonable temperature while the other boiler was repaired.
