Peckleton: The Chuckerbutty Ocarina Quartet will embark on a Bank Holiday weekend of fun and frolics in Peckleton. On Saturday, May 2, they hold 'a well wicked workshop',

This will be a chance for people to learn how to play an ocarina.

Instruments will be provided and within the hour people could be a budding ocarina performer or unable to stop laughing, in which case they could return for the Chuckerbutty Ocarina Quartet Cabaret in the evening and just enjoy listening to Schubert on rubber trout, or a Wagner opera in miniature.

Heedless of the limitations of an instrument with a range of just over an octave, the Chuckerbutty Ocarina Quartet offers a dazzling array of improbable pieces, played with wit, musicality and occasional breathtaking speed.

For variety, they add guitar, charango, pan pipes, and a few other surprises.
