Coaching accolade for Katie
Katie Tweddle, from Kibworth, has been nominated by Sky Sports and the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for the Young Coach of the Year award.
This comes in recognition of her outstanding services to grassroots cricket, where she coaches at Langtons and Bowden CC, Market Harborough.
To mark her nomination, Tweddle attended a day at the National Cricket Performance Centre, at Loughborough University, which included skills masterclass sessions with former England star and current spin coach Peter Such and Leicestershire batting coach Ben Smith.
Tweddle started out by coaching girls in Uppingham. After achieving her Level 1 ECB coaching certificate, she has become involved in kwik cricket at Langtons and Bowden.
