Confident Leicester City aiming to attack the Hornets' nest
Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has promised his side will be full of attacking intent when they face Watford in the Championship at Vicarage Road tonight.
Pearson knows City are playing catch-up in their bid to reach the play-offs.
But he says it is a confident camp following Saturday's 2-1 win against Cardiff City at the King Power Stadium.
"We are going to try to win the game, it is as simple as that," said Pearson.
"The mood is good and it would be nice to back up a very good home win with a good away result at Watford."
City have suffered a loss and a draw in their past two visits to Vicarage Road – and conceded six goals.
"It will always be tough going there and, traditionally, it has been tough," said Pearson.
"But we are looking forward to it because we are going there with a bit of confidence.
"I imagine they will be expecting a tough game from us as well."
Pearson was running the rule over his squad yesterday to ensure everyone is fit after the win against Cardiff.
His main decision will be whether to recall midfielder Neil Danns, who was suspended for Saturday's clash.
Paul Gallagher was a grateful beneficiary of his place and responded with two goals – a penalty and a free-kick – so he is likely to retain his spot.
Central defender Sol Bamba and full-back John Pantsil are both due back from the African Cup of Nations this week, but it is probably too soon to be involved tonight. The Watford match comes just 48 hours after Bamba's Ivory Coast side were beaten in the final on penalties by outsiders Zambia.
It now seems more likely that the 27-year-old centre-back will be in the City squad for the FA Cup fifth-round tie at Norwich on Saturday.
Bamba did not miss a minute of the Ivorians' campaign and they also did not concede a goal.
But they went out in a penalty shoot-out with Bamba scoring a re-taken kick as the match went into sudden-death.
Full-back John Pantsil is also due back with City this week after being in the Ghana squad which lost to Mali in the third-place play-off.
The Hornets are expected to be unchanged from the side which drew 1-1 at Nottingham Forest on Saturday. Manager Sean Dyche watched his side claim a battling point from what was a below-par performance amid difficult circumstances on an emotional day at the City Ground, following the recent death of Reds owner Nigel Doughty.
Dyche said: "If the level drops a bit, it's great to see that fighting spirit coming through and we must make sure we take something from a game."
The likes of Chris Iwelumo, former City loanee Mark Yeates and Prince Buaben are all pushing for recalls tonight if Dyche wants to freshen up his line-up.
He still has two long-term casualties in defender Martin Taylor (broken toe) and midfielder Steven McGin (knee).

We played well but not well enough, now the pressure is of the lads we can expect a good run for the remainder of the season. Told you this club has broken a lot of hearts over the years.
Last night was no exception. But at least now Nigel can start to put a few combinations together so as to pick a winning 11. As mentioned yesterday we are far from the finished product. But I'm Leicester till I die, and that means taking the good with the bad results. Save your money Rod and put it on Blackpool to go up again. As much as I despise Hollowhead, he's doing a mighty fine job with the rock lickers.”

“0-3 to us i hope, Nugent hat trick.... But i realize it's not about the scoreline tonight, all about the 3 points!
I only had to read afew of the recent posts to spot the usual suspects that still think Leicester are going down, Appreciate the giggles i really do. But your proving what i already know that your on the wrong website!!
If we're going down will someone tell Forest and Cov to stop making it so hard for us to break into the bottom 3..... Nigel Pearson's Blue Army!”
