Craig Shakespeare confident Leicester City will hit the goal trail
Craig Shakespeare believes Leicester City will soon hit the goal trail.
Nigel Pearson's assistant manager said no-one within the squad was getting too concerned about City's lack of goals recently.

City have scored just 24 times in 20 games in all competitions this season, with Matty Fryatt leading the way with 10, but Shakespeare has backed the club's strikers to start finding the target again soon.
City have won by more than a single goal only twice this season – a 2-0 win at Macclesfield in the League Cup in August and a Championship victory over Crystal Palace at the Walkers Stadium in October.
After Saturday's 1-1 draw at Scunthorpe United, Pearson admitted his side needed to be more ruthless in front of goal in order to kill off opponents and, inevitably, City will be linked with signing a new striker during the January transfer window.
However, City are still riding high in third place in the Championship and Shakespeare believes there is no shortage of firepower within the squad.
"We are not concerned by the lack of goals at the moment," he said. "Performances recently have been very good but we know the results are key.
"I would rather win 1-0 than 5-4. We are creating opportunities and it won't be long before we start scoring a fair few.
"The team has to attack as one. We have to look to share the goals around.
"We created enough opportunities at Scunthorpe to see the game out and it would be stating the obvious to say we want to score more goals.
"We have a good team ethic. If we have that then we will create enough chances.
"Credit to the players because we created the chances. Hopefully we will have better luck next time."
Shakespeare said there was no hangover remaining from the disappointing way Scunthorpe were able to snatch a point with the last kick of the game, and he said the players were already fully focused on Saturday's trip to Nottingham Forest.
"It was a very disappointed dressing room after the game, in complete contrast to the dressing room after the Plymouth game the week before," he said.
"The players want to push on and cement themselves in that third place.
"It felt like a defeat afterwards but it wasn't. The performance was okay.
"I think with more luck in front of goal we would have seen them off.
"It was disappointing, but returning to training on Monday morning all the players had put it behind them and they were cheerful again.
"That is what you have to do, put disappointments behind you and focus again on the next game. In fact, you have to do that when you have won as well.
"We have to move on and we have a great bunch who understand what we are trying to achieve."
City may be riding high and the spotlight may be slowly turning on the Walkers Stadium, but Shakespeare said the squad was not taking too much attention of the standings.
"We ignore the table," he said. "We just need to concentrate on getting the results as each game comes along and then the table will look after itself.
"As we get higher up the table the media might make more of it. That is part and parcel of football. We want to be successful so it comes with the territory.
"We don't take much notice of it. Actually, we should have more points on the board.
"We don't rest on our laurels and we take pride in our performances."
Meanwhile, Bruno Berner and Richie Wellens have been named in the Championship team of the week after their impressive performances at Glanford Park last Saturday.
City's youth team face Coventry City in the third round of FA Youth Cup tonight at the Ricoh Arena.
The game kicks off at 7pm and admission to the Jewson Stand only is priced £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions.

“Didn't realsie that expressing an opinion is preaching 'chapter and verse'.
Because I dont think we'll win every game doesn't make my views irrelevent does it?
I flew back from Mexico for the Derby game as I thought we'd win so dont question me!!
This site is the only way I get to have a conversation about Leicester so it's quite disheartening to be slagged off like that.
But hey, you're intitled to say what you like as am I.
I hope i'm wrong about Saturday but Forest are unbeaten in 10 and are scoring for fun. I think they'll come at us big time in the first half an hour, and if they score and we have to chase, I dont think we'll have enough.
Fair enough??”

“The general opinion, at present, is that we need another striker. I would concur with that, but only if Waghorn returns to Sunderland in Jan. Otherwise I would be spending money on a quality midfielder who can create, as well as score goals.
The impression that a lot of people have of our team seems to be that we're creating loads of chances but the numpties up front are squandering them all. This is wrong. At home, especially, we create relatively few chances, and rarely have purple patches where the opposition penalty area resembles the Alamo.
If we're producing more from midfield then I'm sure sufficient goals will come from the existing strikers. We could always go for a top striker who can create chances for himself, but I don't think Mandaric has got £5m plus to splash on one player.
As for Saturday, I'm glad Forest are on a roll at the moment; in the Championship, that's usually the best time to play teams. Remember, QPR were in a rich vein of form before we played them!”
