Crash shuts A47 in Leicestershire
A three-car crash closed the A47 to the east of Leicester today.
The crash happened near Tugby at 7.30am.

The A47 was closed this morning after a crash
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and one person was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
The road remained closed throughout the morning.

One motorist said: “The tailbacks were stretching miles towards Uppingham by 8am and the westbound traffic was just stationary, although it was moving fine in the other direction.
“I had to come into Leicester via Oakham so it took me about three hours.
“The conditions on the roads out there weren’t good with the snow.”
