Cricket: Leicestershire CCC battle to draw against Essex
Leicestershire battled to a draw on the final day of the Championship match against Essex at Grace Road.
The rain-hit game appeared to be heading for a stalemate as County resumed their first innings on 61-3 in reply to Essex's 427-6 declared.
However, despite Jim Allenby hitting 71 and James Taylor 88, Leicestershire were all out for 238 and were forced to follow-on.
They lost early wickets but held out for a draw on 123-3.
