Cricket: Wyggeston & QE1 successfully defend trophy
Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth I have successfully defended the Under-19 County Schools Swatland Trophy following a seven-wicket victory over Leicester Grammar School.
Leicester were first to the crease and were bowled out for 105.
Aadil Ali claimed 3-29 with his dangerous off-spin, while opening bowlers Alex Ashwin and Tom Potter took two wickets each.
Wyggeston's reply was impressive. Opening batsmen Ashish Aggarwal (46) and Neel Thakrar (41) put on 96 for the first wicket and on the road to victory.
