Aleem Mahmood's 62 helped Sileby to 242 after they were put in by Ashby, for whom wrist-spinner Tyler Lortan took three wickets in the penultimate over in his 4-51.
Stuart Lansdowne hit 45 for Ashby who closed on 188-8 in reply.
