The national organisation Families Need Fathers has set up a branch in Leicester.

The group, which supports separated parents in need of support and legal advice for custody issues, meets each month at the Quaker Meeting House in Queens Road, Clarendon Park, Leicester.

The group is being led by retired policeman Wayne Martin, from Thurnby.

He said: "We have branches in surrounding cities but Leicester has always been a bit of a black hole.

"We had our first meeting last month and we're ready to invite people who have issues to discuss to come to meetings."

The organisation, a registered charity, has been going for 35 years.

The Leicester meetings will be held from 7pm until 9pm on the second Tuesday of each month, with the next one on Tuesday, February 8. Visit:
