Cut out sex
Elizabeth Allison (Mailbox, October 23) writes that it had been predicted that by 2050 the global population will be 9.1 billion.
Elizabeth jumps on her soapbox and tells us the solution to the famine this will cause is for us all to go vegetarian.
But now the UN warns us that the population of the world could more than double to 15 billion by 2100 and even Elizabeth's idea will not be enough to sustain this growth.
So I've come forward with a better idea. Instead of not eating meat, as Elizabeth would have us all do, if the whole human population stopped having sex, I am sure this would stop the population increasing.
It would help to stop global warming. Left to fend for themselves, the animals would cause much less damage to the world than the human population are doing, day in, day out. So what do you think of my idea Ms Allison? In years to come, no more meat-eating humans for you to worry about.
