Welland Valley Wheelers' Vic Barnett retained the National over-65 cyclo-cross title at Bradford's Peel Park.

The off-road stalwart from Market Harborough put in a strong performance on the muddy course.

Dave Collins (Hope Factory) finished eighth in the elite race but the only other county medal came from Cosby's Grace Garner in the girls' under-16 event.

Gold went to her RST-Trigon team-mate, Abby-Mae Parkinson, who also won the event last year. Parkinson made the most of home advantage and was helped when one of her main rivals, Countesthorpe's Charlotte Broughton, crashed out.
