Cyclist in hospital following collision in Leicester city centre
A male cyclist was in hospital last night following a collision with a car.
The 53-year-old was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary with head injuries following the crash, which took place in Charles Street, at about 2pm yesterday.

Police said the man’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car was unhurt.

Officers said they were looking into the cause of the crash and were still inspecting the scene a number of hours after the incident.
Part of Charles Street was closed off at its junction with St George Street, causing congestion during the afternoon and the evening rush-hour.
